My husband and I were at Carol’s guest house for 3 days. As other reviewers have said, guest house has everything you could possibly need to make a great home away from home. Coming from cold weather to 75 degrees, we were thrilled to spend the majority of our time on the lounge chairs by the pool. It was private and convenient to restaurants and grocery as others have mentioned. We went to restaurants from Carol’s list of recommended places to go, all within walking distance.
We also used a rental car to drive to Canyon Lake. Highly recommend. What a scenic drive. We ate at the marina restaurant which had some excellent fish. We also rented a boat and went on the lake — fantastic experience. The lake is a bit over one hour of a drive.
Our only “issue” was that the guest house was only available for 3 days of the time we were scheduled to be in Phoenix. We would have loved to have stayed longer because we enjoyed it so much.
